As optical transceiver modules evolve to support higher data rates and tighter power budgets; efficient, compact, and low-noise power architectures have become critical design priorities. TDK addresses these challenges with its Micro Point-of-Load (µPOL) regulators and high-performance magnetic components, engineered for space-constrained, thermally demanding environments typical of pluggable and on-board optical modules. TDK’s Micro POL solutions are highly integrated DC-DC with Inductors for 1.4mm and 1.7mm height for ASICs and DSPs within optical 800G to 3.2T transceivers. Power designs will be shown for OSFP and DD-QSFP. Additional options for optimize inductors for various heights for DC-DC PMICs or discrete power will also be provided from 1.2mm to 2mm+ heights. During this session, you will learn best practices for integrating µPOL embedded DC-DC modules and magnetic components to maximize efficiency in your designs.
